CCP chooses Mud as their programming model for Project Awakening
...and all the important news around autonomous worlds & onchain gaming
EVE Online from CCP is not only a huge inspiration for many autonomous worlds being built right now, but they’re also building their own world “Project Awakening”.
To build Project Awakening, CCP is collaborating with Mud which already has a lot of expertise in building onchain worlds. (If you want to learn more about MUD, they just started hosting office hours)
The first playtests already concluded and players can now register for playtest III starting May 21. It will be the first playtest where players can engage in the programmable game system to build their own features. Project Awakening is a “single-shard survival experience” and is set in a familiar space setting where players will have to fight for survival in a world where civilization has decayed.
Composability and programmability are two major pillars of Project Awakening with the goal of allowing players to easily build features on top of the game world and encourage UGC made by the community and enabled by the blockchain.

A fully onchain game on Blast reaches a $40m marketcap
Crypto Valleys just recently launched on Blast and seen increasing attention on their game and therefore their token $YIELD.
Crypto Valleys is a yield focused game comparable to DeFi Kingdoms. Players spend $YIELD to buy seeds, reveal them as part of a slot machine, plant them and harvest them more $YIELD which can be used to upgrade your farm and valley. (or can be staked)
Composable Hub wrote a nice summary of the game, including their plans for future versions. It also serves as a farm for $BLAST, since they’ll return 100% of their Blast Gold to players (Blast Gold are basically $BLAST airdrop points).
It’s noteworthy that with $YIELD sitting at a $40m marketcap, the entry into the game is quite expensive, especially if you want to progress and level up your farm. As always with games like this, once players stop spending, the economy will slow down and the token price will dip, leaving many players holding the bag. So proceed with caution and only spend what you can afford to lose.
