ETH Denver is the next big event for autonomous worlds
...and all the important news around autonomous worlds & onchain gaming
ahhh we’re networking
ETH Denver is coming up and there are a number of events for autonomous worlds. Last year I attended the AW Assembly during Devcon myself and it was a great experience with amazing talks and a lot of cool people to meet.
If you’re going, these are some events you should consider:
Cartridge is hosting an autonomous worlds day on the 27th with talks, workshops and playtests of many games. I think several games are hosting their first ever playtests during the event. On top of that, Dojo is hosting a Ninja Cafe prior to the AW Day where they teach you how to build a game using Dojo.
(In other news, Dojo also just completed their audit of their core contracts)
Rives, Cartesi and WASD are hosting “Onchain Arcade” on the 29th, an evening for networking while playing some of your favorite onchain games. Apparently there will be Pizza too! Tickets are free and if you want to showcase a game during the event you can submit through the link above.
For all the fellow hackers, Komorebi is hosting another Hacker House from Feb28 - Mar4. There are several events and workshops every day by the likes of Small Brain Games, Seismic, Primodium and many more.
in other news
Their cryptic tweet might be a hint at a possible ecosystem token coming up and they partnered with YP and myself. It’s safe to say they will have a busy next few months.
In one of the biggest updates yet, Sky Strife received some new units, a complete combat revamp and a new map. Lattice also audited their MUD contracts in partnership with Open Zeppelin.
Tarochi recently minted their Genesis Trainers and released the game on the XAI mainnet. They have been crushing it lately and are one of the most popular dApps on the XAI network.
Loads of games inside Realms are sharing progress updates
Calc hosted a builder catchup in the discord and summarized all of it in a thread. More progress updates were also shared in the latest Herald edition.
Holders of the ecosystem token from Dopewars can now bridge their tokens from ETH mainnet to Starknet.
WASD received funding in the latest RPGF round from Optimism and now plans to share some of that with players in their guild. The first rewards will go out to Primodium players.
The Blast L2 is launching soon and many are expecting a “Blast mania” thanks to the huge unlock and more expected incentives to keep funds on the network. Enzo is a fully onchain racing game which is going to be on Blast. As always, I think interacting with things early on is the best thing you can do in crypto, so why not check it out.
Verdania is a onchain farm simulation with similar 3D graphics as Starkane. It’s also built using Dojo.
game of the week: Influence
Influence is nearing it’s pre-release today on Feb21. Influence is an EVE inspired space MMO running on Starknet. They’ve been running many playtest in the past and are now ready to showcase the full game for the first time to players. (Testing the game will be incentived).
Based on the time put into the game and its production quality it’s one of the bigger onchain game releases we’ve had so far, and with the recent STRK airdrop, it will hopefully get a lot of attention.
it’s over for autonomous world
this meme by lermchair was too good to not share here:
If you get all the details, you’re a true autonomous world OG.
